Please read these terms carefully before participating in the Headway Plymouth Lottery.

1. Introduction

The Headway Plymouth Lottery ("the Lottery") is operated by Headway Plymouth, a registered charity (Charity Number 1149256). By entering the Lottery, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility

To enter the Lottery, you must:

  • Be aged 18 years or over at the time of entry
  • Be a resident of the United Kingdom
  • Not be an employee or trustee of Headway Plymouth, or an immediate family member of such persons

3. Entry

Each lottery entry costs £1 per week. You may purchase multiple entries to increase your chances of winning. Payment can be made by Direct Debit or debit card. Entries are valid for each weekly draw until cancelled.

4. The Draw

The lottery draw takes place every Friday at 8:00 PM UK time. Winners are selected by a random number generator that has been independently tested and certified. The draw is supervised to ensure fairness and transparency.

5. Prizes

The current prize structure is:

  • 1st Prize: £25,000
  • 2nd Prize: £1,000
  • 3rd Prize: £250
  • 10 x Runner-Up Prizes: £25 each

Headway Plymouth reserves the right to vary the prize structure with reasonable notice to players.

6. Notification of Winners

Winners will be notified by email and/or telephone within 48 hours of the draw. It is the player's responsibility to ensure their contact details are kept up to date. Prizes not claimed within 180 days of the draw date will be forfeited and added to the charity fund.

7. Payment of Prizes

Prizes will be paid by bank transfer within 28 days of the winner confirming their bank details. For prizes over £500, we may require identity verification before payment. Prizes are not transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel your lottery subscription at any time by contacting us. Cancellation will take effect from the next payment date. No refunds will be given for payments already collected. Entries paid for will remain valid for draws up to the cancellation date.

9. Use of Funds

For every £1 paid in lottery entry fees:

  • 40p goes to Headway Plymouth's charitable activities
  • 40p goes into the prize fund
  • 20p covers administration and operating costs

10. Data Protection

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We will use your data to administer the lottery, contact you about prizes, and where you have consented, to send you information about our charity's work.

11. Responsible Gambling

We are committed to promoting responsible gambling. If you feel that gambling is affecting your life negatively, please contact BeGambleAware at www.begambleaware.org or call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The Headway Plymouth Lottery is licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission under the Gambling Act 2005.
